Product Information

The Meinl Sonic Energy Native American Style Hoop Drum 15" (Endless Knot) is a hand-selected buffalo hide frame drum engineered for sound therapy, meditation, and spiritual practice. The 15" diameter combines warm, powerful resonance with authentic tonal character. A premium fibreglass frame keeps weight manageable while ensuring durability and acoustic response across the instrument's frequency range.

Hand-selected buffalo hide is stretched and laced across the centre, creating an adjustable grip that accommodates different playing techniques and hand sizes. The lightweight fibreglass frame resists warping while maintaining the resonance needed for long, sustained tones. Each drum arrives with a leather-padded wooden beater for immediate use. Natural variations in skin texture mean every instrument is unique—a feature rather than a flaw.

Hoop drums of this construction excel in both solo practice and ensemble settings. The adjustable lacing system lets players fine-tune grip comfort and tonal response based on playing style and pressure. Sound therapy practitioners and studio engineers appreciate the warm, sustained character that sits well in layered soundscapes without muddying adjacent frequencies.
