The Meinl Sonic Energy Magnetic Piezo Pickup is a piezoelectric pickup engineered to amplify magnetic instruments including handpans and steel tongue drums. Built around a magnetic base for tool–free attachment, it captures the nuanced tones of your instrument across a 40 Hz, 12 kHz frequency range, delivering clear, natural amplification whether you're playing a large venue or recording in the studio.
The pickup connects via a standard 6.3 mm jack plug with a 2.5-metre cable, long enough to reach your amp or interface from the stage. An integrated volume control lets you dial in your level independently, with 100 kΩ impedance ensuring clean signal transfer. Works with all Meinl Handpans and STD Steel Tongue Drums, making it a straightforward addition to your rig when you need projection alongside louder instruments or want to capture experimental textures in the studio.
