Meinl Sonic Energy Kalimba w/ Soundhole Pickup C 17 Notes (Mahogany)

The Meinl Sonic Energy Kalimba with Soundhole Pickup delivers 17 steel tines tuned to C Major, housed in a mahogany body with matte finish. This thumb piano produces warm, resonant tones across a broad melodic range–from d'' down to e–making it accessible for beginners while offering genuine musical depth for experienced players exploring new sonic textures.

Built-in pickup and quarter-inch output jack allow direct amplification to mixing consoles, PA systems, or recording interfaces without external microphones. Red markings on each tine provide instant visual reference during play. The ergonomic hollowed mahogany construction sits comfortably in your hands; pre-tuning arrives factory-set with a tuning hammer included for any adjustments. Protective case, linen storage bag, and microfiber cloth round out the package.

Kalimbas excel in sound therapy and meditation contexts, but this pickup model opens doors to stage performance, studio layering, and live recording where acoustic amplification alone falls short. Bedroom producers gain an expressive, hands-on melodic tool that cuts through digital arrangements; engineers can integrate its organic character into arrangements for world music, ambient, or experimental productions without fighting mic placement and room reflections.
