The Meinl Sonic Energy Handpan Stainless Steel Vintage Gold D Kurd is a handcrafted percussion instrument tuned to the D Amara scale. Made from high-quality stainless steel with a distinctive vintage gold finish, this 22-inch handpan produces harmonic, balanced tones with extended sustain. The D Amara tuning—spanning D3 through C5 at 440 Hz—offers a complete melodic range for solo play or ensemble work.
Built to exacting standards, the handpan measures 22 inches in diameter and 9 inches in height, weighing approximately 4.6 kg. Two removable sound tubes allow players to alter resonance and timbre, expanding sonic possibilities across performance contexts. The instrument features dual soundholes: one oriented toward the player, another facing the audience, enabling balanced projection in live and studio settings. Long sustain and wide dynamic range make it responsive to subtle hand techniques and varied playing pressures.
Protection and transport come complete with a padded carrying bag, stainless steel cover, soft velvet storage bag, and cotton gloves.
