The Meinl Sonic Energy Handpan Care Set is purpose–built maintenance system for nitrided steel handpans. Meinl engineered this German–made package to address the specific vulnerabilities of unlacquered handpan surfaces—oxidation, fingerprint marks, and dust accumulation that degrade both appearance and longevity. The set pairs a dedicated cleaner with a protective sealant, giving you the two–step approach serious handpan players need to maintain their instruments.
The Handpan Cleaner and Handpan Protectant each contain 150 ml of formulation designed to work without altering tone or sustain. The cleaner removes surface contamination while the protectant creates a barrier against corrosion and discoloration caused by environmental dirt and skin oils. Two microfiber cloths with serrated edges handle application and buffing. Total weight is 409 g, making the set portable enough for touring or studio use.
Regular maintenance with this system extends handpan lifespan significantly.
