The Meinl Sonic Energy Chakra Gong Throat 32" is a handcrafted sound healing instrument made in Germany and tuned to 141.27 Hz (C#2), the specific frequency for the Throat Chakra based on Hans Cousto's "The Cosmic Octave". This 80 cm diameter gong features an elaborate hand-hammering process that creates both a visually striking surface pattern and the deep, warm tonal characteristic essential for chakra meditation and sound therapy. The chakra symbol is fused into the centre using a specialised sandblasting technique, making each gong a unique masterpiece with natural variations in hammering and colouration from the heating process.
Constructed from a specially treated metal alloy, the gong is heated to high temperatures and hand-hammered to achieve its precise pitch and resonant tone.
