This heavy–duty nylon cord from Meinl Sonic Energy provides secure mounting for large gongs and tam tams measuring 36″ to 40″ in diameter. Designed specifically for instruments in this size range, the cord delivers the strength needed to safely suspend heavyweight percussion during performances and practice sessions. The 1–metre length offers adequate reach for most standard gong stand configurations. Black nylon construction ensures both durability and visual discretion when the cord is in use.
The cord measures 4mm in diameter and is constructed entirely from robust nylon fabric. This material choice provides exceptional tensile strength while remaining flexible enough to tie securely around both the gong's mounting points and the stand hardware. The 1000mm total length accommodates various hanging methods and stand geometries. Black colouration minimises visual distraction in performance and studio environments. The nylon composition resists fraying and maintains structural integrity even under the sustained weight of large–format gongs.
