The Meinl Sonic Energy 10” Octave Steel Tongue Drum is a coated stainless steel instrument tuned to F# Minor at 432 Hz, spanning two octaves across eight tongues. Dark green finish and 25.4 cm diameter deliver a handpan-like tone optimised for meditation, sound therapy, and ambient music production. This octave-spanning design produces eight notes from F#3 to A4, offering harmonic richness beyond standard single-octave tongue drums. Three silicone feet anchor the 1850 g body on any flat surface.

Each tongue is precisely cut to resonate at specific pitches: F#3, A3, B3, C#4, D4, E4, F#4, and A4, with the A4 reference tuned to 432 Hz rather than standard 440 Hz. A sound hole at the base includes a silicone plug to adjust tonal character and sustain. The instrument ships with two wooden mallets fitted with soft rubber-wrapped heads and a padded nylon carry bag. Coated stainless steel construction ensures consistent tone and weather resistance.

Players can strike tongues with included mallets or fingertips, resting the drum on their lap or a flat surface during performance.
