Meinl Sonic Energy 10" Octave Steel Tongue Drum C Minor Minor (Navy Blue)

The Meinl Sonic Energy 10" Octave Steel Tongue Drum in C Minor delivers the contemplative, resonant character of a handpan in a compact stainless steel package. Tuned to 432 Hz across eight notes spanning two octaves—from G3 to Ab4—this navy blue drum produces soothing, meditative tones suited to sound therapy, yoga, and ambient composition. Its high-quality stainless steel construction and three silicone feet ensure stable, slip-free playing whether placed on a surface or your lap.

The drum ships with a pair of wooden mallets featuring soft rubber-wrapped heads for controlled tone, though fingers work equally well. A sound hole at the base accepts an optional silicone plug to tighten the acoustic character. The 25.4 cm diameter and 1.85 kg weight make it portable without sacrificing projection. A decorative linen/nylon cord and padded nylon carrying bag with zipper handle round out the package for musicians moving between studio and live space.

Studio engineers and bedroom producers will appreciate the harmonic richness of the C Minor tuning—its minor intervals sit naturally in ambient, downtempo, and meditative compositions. The two-octave range allows for melodic movement without requiring multiple instruments, while the 432 Hz standard tuning appeals to practitioners seeking bioacoustic alignment with meditation and healing work.
