Product Information

This isn't your average china cymbal?the Meinl Byzance Extra Dry 16" China Cymbal brings a rebellious edge to any drum kit with its distinctive raw finish and explosive attack. Crafted from premium B20 bronze alloy and meticulously hand hammered, this cymbal produces extra dry tones that blend dark, dirty sounds with a wide spectrum of frequencies. Its medium–thin weight and partial lathing create an unmistakable character that cuts through any mix.

The cymbal's esoteric personality shines through its low pitch and mysterious depth, while the short sustain keeps your beats crisp and defined. Its natural appearance showcases the raw, unlathed finish that gives it that cool, untamed look musicians love. Perfect for jazz, funk, R&B, studio work, and electro styles, this china cymbal offers the versatility serious players demand.

Built with traditional craftsmanship techniques, the Byzance Extra Dry features a dark timbre with low volume output that won't overpower your mix. The B20 bronze construction ensures durability and consistent performance, while the hand–hammered surface creates unique tonal variations across the cymbal face. Easy maintenance with Meinl Cymbal Cleaner and Protectant keeps this exceptional instrument looking and sounding its best for years to come.
