Product Information
The Mackie Carbon is a USB condenser microphone that brings studio–quality recording to desktop setups without requiring an audio interface. Mackie designed this microphone to handle streaming, podcasting, voiceovers, and home recording with a cardioid polar pattern that focuses on what's directly in front while rejecting off–axis sound. The 16mm condenser capsule delivers a frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz, capturing detail across the full range of voice and acoustic instruments with clarity.
Direct USB connectivity provides 24–bit/96kHz recording resolution straight to Mac or Windows systems. A dedicated headphone output with independent volume control offers zero–latency monitoring during recording sessions. The microphone features an onboard gain control, a mute button with LED status indicator, and a durable metal construction that sits on a tilting desktop stand. Connection options include a standard USB–C port with cable included, and the base mount accepts standard 5/8–inch microphone threads for boom arm compatibility when desk space is limited.
