Product Information
The LR Baggs M1 is a body–sensing magnetic pickup engineered to capture the full acoustic character of a guitar's soundboard. Built on a patented humbucking design, it departs from conventional stacked configurations by unlocking the lower coil to detect higher frequency resonances. The suspended coil captures movement across the guitar's body, creating a body signal that adds presence and dimensionality to amplified output–essential for players seeking natural reproduction of their instrument's acoustic properties.
The pickup employs a carefully tuned support structure that allows the lower coil to function actively rather than simply cancel hum like traditional designs. This dual–coil approach means the M1 captures both fundamental tones and the subtle resonances that define acoustic character. The integrated volume control provides direct gain adjustment without requiring external preamps, streamlining the signal path from pickup to amplifier and offering responsive on–the–fly level management during performance or session work.
