LP Pro Shekere (White)

The LP Pro Shekere brings the traditional West African gourd shaker into modern playing environments with a fiberglass body that resists climate shifts and road abuse. Latin Percussion built this instrument with a thick neck that facilitates the low bass tone technique essential to authentic shekere playing, while the synthetic construction maintains tonal consistency across humidity and temperature changes that would warp natural materials.

Hand-strung Jenigor beads cover the fiberglass shell, producing the crisp attack and shimmering sustain that define the shekere's voice. A protective rubber ring surrounds the mouth opening, guarding against edge chips during transport and aggressive playing. The white finish reflects stage lighting without glare. Fiberglass construction keeps weight manageable during extended performances while delivering projection that cuts through ensemble settings.
