Product Information
The LP304 is a professional–grade guira from Latin Percussion, built with a chrome–plated steel body that delivers the sharp, metallic rasp central to Dominican merengue and bachata traditions. Played with a steel scraper, this instrument produces the rhythmic, percussive texture that drives Latin ensembles. The metal construction provides durability for stage work while ensuring the bright, cutting tone needed to sit prominently in the mix alongside horns, percussion sections, and rhythm guitars.
Chrome plating over the steel shell resists corrosion and maintains a consistent playing surface through extended use. The ribbed outer surface creates defined grooves that respond predictably to scraper technique, allowing for dynamic control from subtle texture to aggressive rhythmic accents. LP includes a mounted handle for secure grip during performance, reducing hand fatigue during extended playing sessions. The playing surface extends across the full width of the body, offering multiple tone zones depending on scraper placement and attack angle.
