Product Information
The Lehle P-ISO XLR TRS is a passive isolation transformer designed to eliminate ground loops, hum, and noise in recording and live signal chains. Built around the high-end Lehle Transformer HZ, this compact unit galvanically isolates audio signals without any loss of fidelity or frequency response. The transformer was engineered specifically for high-impedance sources but handles low-impedance signals with equal transparency, making it a reliable tool for reamping, balancing, and general signal routing where clean audio is non-negotiable.
The device operates entirely without external power, relying on the transformer's passive design to maintain signal integrity across both balanced XLR and unbalanced TRS connections. Bidirectional operation allows the P-ISO to function in either direction, adapting to various studio or stage configurations. Ground loop noise – the most common culprit behind unwanted hum when connecting two grounded devices – is eliminated through galvanic isolation, breaking the electrical connection while preserving the audio path. Its compact enclosure and light weight allow placement beneath pedalboards or inside equipment racks without occupying valuable space.
