Product Information

The Revelator® Nautilus Horizon Tenor is a handcrafted electro-acoustic from Kala's Java workshop, designed for performers who need stage–ready versatility without compromising acoustic character. The standout feature is the transparent blue finish revealing highly figured mango wood, paired with a mahogany body and slimline cutaway that delivers warm, articulate tone whether played acoustically or amplified. At 26 inches overall length and 1.375 inches body depth, this instrument bridges the gap between portability and projection.

Construction centres on a Florentine cutaway body with a 17.1875–inch scale and 22 frets across a Macassar ebony fingerboard. The mahogany neck, coupled with Graph Tech® NuBone® nut and saddle, ensures stable intonation and consistent sustain. Tuning stability comes via Grover® Sta–Tite™ machines, whilst the passive piezo electronics provide transparent amplification without colouration. Visual appointments include a Paua Abalone Nautilus inlay on the ebony headplate and white pearl fretboard markers, elevating the instrument beyond typical tenor fare.

The passive piezo system suits both ambient fingerstyle performance and driven stage work without requiring batteries or preamps. Included Transit Series gig bag provides practical protection during transport. Storage in 40–60% humidity with periodic humidifier use preserves the figured mango finish and maintains structural integrity across seasonal variations.
