Product Information
The redesigned 8-inch woofer at the heart of this powered studio monitor reaches down to 41 Hz, delivering the deepest low-frequency extension in JBL's 3 Series MkIII lineup. This single-unit 2-way monitor from JBL uses a stiffer cone material, a 20 oz magnet assembly, and an aluminium shorting ring to support controlled, lower-distortion bass reproduction. The front-firing Slipstream port keeps low-frequency response predictable even when the cabinet sits near a wall or on a desk. A fully redesigned high-frequency tweeter paired with the Image Control Waveguide maintains a consistent 120 x 90 degree coverage pattern, helping the stereo image stay focused across a wider working area in larger rooms.
The 308P MkIII delivers 110 watts of bi-amplified Class D power with a peak output of 113 dB SPL, providing the headroom needed for larger monitoring environments. The balanced Neutrik combo input accepts both XLR and TRS connectors, with user-selectable +4 dBu or -10 dBV input sensitivity for straightforward integration with other studio equipment. Four one-touch controls provide access to 81 corrective EQ combinations, allowing quick room tuning without external processing. Eight integrated M4 mounting points with a 75 x 75 mm pattern allow installation in stereo, surround, or multi-channel immersive audio monitoring systems.
