Product Information
The 306P MkIII sits in the middle of JBL's 3 Series lineup, offering more low-frequency extension and headroom than the 305P without the larger footprint of the 308P. This 6.5-inch powered two-way studio monitor combines a redesigned high-frequency driver with JBL's re-engineered Image Control Waveguide to maintain a consistent 120 x 90 degree coverage pattern. The result is a wider listening area with exceptional stereo imaging and a focused centre image that helps producers and engineers make confident mix decisions in project studios.
The low-frequency system features a new 6.5-inch driver with stiffer cone materials, a 20 oz magnet assembly, and an aluminium shorting ring to improve power handling and reduce distortion. Bass response extends down to 43 Hz, while the front-firing Slipstream port allows the monitor to perform predictably on desks, stands, or in close proximity to walls. A 110-watt bi-amplified Class D amplifier delivers clean output up to 112 dB peak SPL. The balanced Neutrik combo input accepts XLR or TRS connectors, with user-selectable +4 dBu / -10 dBV input sensitivity for flexible connectivity. Four one-touch controls provide 81 corrective EQ combinations to adjust for desk or stand placement, wall distance compensation, and tonal balance.
Eight integrated M4 mounting points and a 75 x 75 mm pattern allow the 306P MkIII to function as a stereo pair, in a 2.1 system with the 310S MkIII subwoofer, or as part of a larger surround or immersive configuration. The monitor's mounting flexibility and room correction options help it adapt to real-world studio environments.
