Product Information
JBL's redesigned high-frequency driver and re-engineered Image Control Waveguide deliver a wide, consistent listening area with precise stereo imaging that extends well beyond the narrow sweet spot typical of compact monitors. This powered two-way studio monitor fits tight production spaces where monitoring decisions still need to translate – project studios, home setups, podcast rooms and creator workstations where desk real estate comes at a premium. The 305P MkIII is the most compact model in the 3 Series MkIII family, bringing the full redesign to environments where space is limited but accuracy isn't optional.
The new 5-inch woofer uses stiffer cone materials paired with a 20 oz magnet assembly and aluminium shorting ring for cleaner output with lower distortion, extending bass response down to 45 Hz. A front-firing Slipstream port keeps low-end performance predictable when the monitor is placed near walls or surfaces. An 86-watt bi-amplified Class D amplifier delivers peak SPL up to 109 dB, while a balanced Neutrik combo input accepts XLR or TRS connections with selectable +4 dBu / -10 dBV sensitivity. Four one-touch controls provide 81 corrective EQ combinations for placement compensation, wall distance adjustment and HF/LF balance without requiring software or complex dip switches.
Eight integrated M4 mounting points in a 75 x 75 mm pattern allow the 305P MkIII to start as a desktop pair and later expand into 2.1, surround or immersive configurations. The balanced input topology integrates with common studio gear without additional matching hardware, and the front-panel controls handle room correction on the fly. This monitor addresses the reality of small-room production: delivering reference-grade performance in spaces where acoustic treatment and listening position are often compromised by practical constraints rather than design choice.
