Product Information
Twenty brass reeds mounted on 0.9 mm brass reed plates form the heart of this diatonic harmonica learn–pack from Hohner, designed to introduce players to the expressive world of blues harmonica. The black ABS comb provides a stable foundation for the reed assembly while keeping the package accessible for first–time players. This is a complete learning system that pairs a working instrument with educational materials to help new players develop proper technique and understanding of the blues tradition.
The construction uses traditional brass reeds and reed plates, materials chosen for their tonal response and durability through the learning process. Each reed plate measures 0.9 mm thick with a brass surface finish that contributes to the bright, cutting tone associated with blues playing. The ABS comb resists moisture absorption and maintains consistent air–tightness across all twenty reeds, distributed across ten holes in the standard diatonic configuration. This combination of materials delivers the characteristic sound needed to melodise the full range of blues emotion – from devotion and sadness to hope and freedom.
