Product Information

The Hohner C-Soprano Wood Musica Recorder delivers authentic wooden tone in a design that's been teaching musicians the fundamentals of wind instruments for centuries. This soprano recorder uses a 2-piece construction that simplifies maintenance and cleaning, with the body available in dark pearwood, light pearwood, or maple depending on tonal preference and aesthetic. Full hole coverage and controlled breath pressure are all that's required to produce the first notes, though the instrument responds to advanced articulation techniques for players developing their wind chops.

Both German and Baroque fingering systems are supported, allowing students to choose their preferred approach or transition between methods as their technique develops. The ergonomic 2-piece design splits at the centre joint, enabling thorough cleaning of the bore and tone holes without specialist tools. Each wood type offers distinct sonic characteristics: pearwood provides warmth and clarity, while maple delivers a brighter response with defined articulation. The soprano tuning sits in C, the standard register for recorder instruction and ensemble playing.
