Product Information

Designed specifically for young players taking their first steps in music education, this C-soprano recorder from Hohner's Melody line comes with Baroque fingering and a one-piece moulded construction. The entire body is made from durable plastic that stands up to daily classroom use and the inevitable knocks that come with primary school music programmes. Hohner offers this model as part of a two-variant Melody series, with both German and Baroque fingering options available to match different teaching methods used across Australian schools.

The one-piece design eliminates joints that can loosen or leak, while the plastic construction allows the instrument to be cleaned under cold running water – a practical feature for maintaining hygiene in shared classroom environments. Tuned to soprano pitch (C), this recorder delivers the standard range expected in beginner music education. The plastic head joint and body are moulded as a single unit, which improves durability and ensures consistent tuning across the instrument's range. Maintenance requires nothing more than occasional rinsing, making it straightforward for both teachers and parents to keep the instrument in playing condition.
