Designed in collaboration with classical virtuoso Willi Burger, the Hohner Amadeus Harmonica brings concert hall precision to the chromatic harmonica. This 48-reed instrument was developed specifically for classical repertoire, engineered to meet the demands of interpreting composed and arranged works with the tonal clarity and dynamic control required for serious performance. Its one-piece acrylic comb and gold-plated concave mouthpiece distinguish it immediately from standard chromatic models, while brass reed plates at 1.2mm thickness deliver the resonance and response classical soloists need.

The acrylic comb is milled from a single piece of transparent material, providing structural stability and a clear visual signature. Gold-plated mouthpiece surfaces combine with a unique concave profile and round channel openings for enhanced embouchure control. Brass reed plates receive a nickel surface treatment, paired with 48 brass reeds across the full chromatic range. Each technical choice reflects input from Burger's decades performing classical material, from the ergonomic mouthpiece shape to the specific reed configuration that supports the breath control and articulation techniques classical repertoire demands.
