The Hercules HA100 is a dedicated mute holder engineered for brass players who need reliable, organised storage within arm's reach during rehearsals, studio sessions, and live performance. Designed by Hercules, a brand known for precision instrument stands and mounting solutions, it addresses a genuine workflow problem: keeping mutes accessible without cluttering the music stand or floor. The 270° swivel mechanism means quick mute swaps without repositioning the entire rig.
The HA100 accommodates four mutes across three ring sizes: one 74 mm (2.92") ring, two 63 mm (2.48") rings, and one 47.5 mm (1.87") ring–covering standard cornet, trumpet, trombone, and French horn mutes. Each ring is wrapped in specially formulated foam padding to protect mute finishes from contact wear. The holder attaches to music or microphone stands with shaft diameters between 8 mm and 30 mm (0.31" to 1.18"), and its 5 kg load capacity easily handles any realistic mute setup. Weight is minimal at 0.5 kg, preserving stand stability.
This works well in any scenario where mute access demands speed and organisation. Studio horn sections switching between cup, straight, and bucket mutes benefit from the foam–padded rings and quick swivel action.
