Product Information
Hardcase's 14 Inch Lined Snare Case offers fully protective transport for snare drums in the 5–7 inch depth range. Built by Hardcase International, a UK manufacturer with decades of hard case expertise, the HN14S model (standard) and HN14FFS (free-floating variant) combine rigid shell protection with interior padding designed to isolate instruments during touring, studio commutes, and storage. The orange finish provides visibility and aesthetic distinction without compromising the structural integrity demanded by both session drummers and touring rigs.
The HN14S weighs 3.2 kg when fully lined, making it substantially portable despite its protective architecture. The free-floating HN14FFS variant increases to 3.7 kg, employing suspension padding that decouples the drum shell from case vibration–critical for high-end or vintage snares where resonance matters. Both models accommodate shell depths from 5 to 7 inches, covering standard and shallow snare configurations. The fully lined construction (as opposed to pads-only variants at 2.9 kg and 3.3 kg respectively) provides consistent cushioning across internal surfaces, reducing contact noise and impact transmission during transport.
