Product Information

Gibson's Vintage Reissue Guitar Restoration Kit addresses the specific maintenance needs of nitrocellulose lacquer finishes, the traditional finish used on vintage and reissue guitars. This comprehensive kit includes everything required to restore and maintain the appearance of aged or vintage–style instruments. All formulations are designed specifically for nitro finishes, which require gentler care than modern polyurethane coatings to avoid damage or clouding.

The kit contains a low–abrasion metal cleaner with an application brush for hardware restoration, premium fretboard conditioner to prevent rosewood or ebony drying and cracking, and guitar polish formulated exclusively for nitrocellulose lacquer. Two cotton polish cloths are included for buffing and application. Each product works together to address the unique vulnerabilities of nitro finishes while restoring metal components and maintaining fretboard moisture levels.
