Product Information
The Gibson Sadler Vaden SG Standard is a signature model built around the 2005 SG that's been Sadler Vaden's main stage guitar with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit for 15 years. This Natural Burst finish–rendered in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer–recreates the aged warmth of that original instrument. The asymmetrical double–cutaway mahogany body combines classic SG ergonomics with the tonal character that's powered countless studio sessions and live performances.
Sadler Vaden Signature humbucker pickups sit at the heart of this guitar's sound. The neck pickup delivers moderate output with a round, warm voice that stays articulate under drive and cleans up quickly, while the bridge pickup pushes higher output with a Patent Applied For voice and pronounced midrange that cuts through mix on lead lines. A mahogany neck with rounded profile sits comfortable in hand, topped with a rosewood fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and acrylic trapezoid inlays. Chrome–plated hardware includes a Nashville Tune–O–Matic™ bridge, Stop Bar tailpiece, Graph Tech® nut, and Vintage Deluxe tuners–all spec'd for tuning stability and individual string intonation adjustment.
The guitar arrives in a brown Gibson hardshell case bundled with a Sadler Vaden trading card, signature–inspired stickers, and a customised strap. A two–ply black–and–white truss rod cover bears Sadler's initials rather than the standard SG engraving, marking this as the artist's direct vision rather than a generic tribute model.
