Product Information
The Fishman Fluence Open Core Classic Humbucker Pickups deliver the warmth and articulation of traditional passive humbuckers through active, multi–voice circuitry that runs on a single 9V battery or external power. These rechargeable active pickups eliminate the hum, noise, and microphonic feedback associated with wire–wound designs while offering two distinct voices per pickup. The white–finished set includes both bridge and neck positions, each voiced to complement its placement on the guitar.
Voice 1 replicates the open, dynamic response of a vintage PAF humbucker with clarity across the frequency spectrum, while Voice 2 provides a hotter, more compressed character reminiscent of ceramic–magnet designs. Both voices maintain string–to–string balance and tracking accuracy even under high gain. The rechargeable battery system offers over 200 hours of playing time per charge, and the pickups draw approximately 2mA of current during operation. Installation requires routing for the battery pack and push–pull or mini–toggle switching to select between voices.
