EVH 5150 Iconic Series 15W 6L6 Head (Black)

The EVH 5150® Iconic® 6L6 15W Head condenses five decades of high-gain heritage into a compact all-valve design that refuses to compromise on tone. This dual-channel head delivers the harmonically rich saturation and aggressive midrange punch that made the original 5150® a studio and stage staple, now reconfigured around a pair of 6L6 power valves running at 15 watts. The Green channel offers everything from shimmering cleans to cutting rhythm tones, while the Red channel's BURN mode delivers the over-the-top saturation that defined an era of rock guitar.

Each channel runs dedicated Gain and Volume controls, feeding into a global three-band EQ alongside Resonance, Presence, and spring Reverb. A quarter-power switch drops output for home and studio tracking, while the speaker-emulated XLR output with Power Amp Mute enables direct recording and silent practice. The rear panel houses a series effects loop, Preamp Out, and selectable 4/8/16-ohm impedance matching. The included two-button footswitch toggles channels and activates a 6dB Clean Input Stage Boost, adding instant headroom when the moment demands it.
