The Event Lighting 290mm Box Truss Ladder Style is a 2m aluminium framing system engineered for rigidity and load capacity in live sound reinforcement and stage production. Built from 6061–T6 aluminium with 2mm wall thickness throughout, this ladder–configuration design distributes weight efficiently across its 290mm square profile. TÜV–rated and powder–coated in black, it's designed to anchor lighting rigs, speaker systems, and overhead infrastructure where structural integrity and repeatable performance matter.
Construction centres on a 50mm main tube with 50mm vice braces and 20mm diagonal bracing, all engineered for specific load distributions depending on span length. At 1m span, the truss handles 2500 kg uniformly distributed load or 2500 kg centre–point load; at 5m span, that drops to 400 kg/m uniform or 800 kg centre point. The critical specification: chords must face downward when horizontal to maintain load ratings—mounting it inverted voids all engineering certification. A 3–year warranty backs the construction, and downloadable Australian engineering certificates and user manuals detail exact capacity tables for 1 to 12m spans.
Ladder–style geometry creates flexibility for touring rigs and temporary installations where modular assembly is faster than traditional box truss. Lateral bracing geometry also simplifies cable routing and adapter mounting compared to four–point box designs, reducing setup time without sacrificing span ratings or safety margins in standard touring configurations.
