Product Information
The Event Lighting 290mm Box Truss Ladder Style is a compact aluminium rigging solution engineered for small–to–medium touring rigs, portable festival installations, and fixed venue lighting arrays. Its ladder configuration prioritises lightweight transport and rapid assembly without sacrificing load capacity. Constructed from 6061–T6 aluminium alloy with a 2mm wall thickness across all chord and bracing members, this 0.5m section carries TUV certification and arrives in black powder coating to resist corrosion across outdoor deployments.
The truss spans up to 12 metres and accommodates distributed loads of 2500 kg/m at single–span configurations, dropping to 70 kg/m at full 12m extension. Centre point loads range from 2500 kg (1m span) to 300 kg (12m span), whilst 1/3 and 1/4 point loading tables accommodate mid–stage rigs and asymmetrical fixture distributions. Main and vice brace tubes measure 50mm × 2mm; diagonal braces are 20mm × 2mm. Critical installation note: the ladder style design requires chords facing downward when used horizontally to maintain engineering ratings–incorrect orientation voids all load certifications.
Manny's holds the Australian Engineering Certificate and comprehensive user manual for reference. The 3–year warranty covers manufacturing defects. Pair with compatible mounting brackets, safety wires, and clamps from the Event Lighting accessory range to complete temporary or semi–permanent installations. Load tables and span calculations are essential reading before deployment on any live production.
