Product Information

Finding an affordable fretless bass that delivers expressive tone, smooth playability, and a striking look can be difficult. Many instruments sacrifice feel or tonal control, making it harder to achieve the singing, articulate character that fretless bass is known for. The ESP LTD B-204SM Fretless Bass offers a professional solution with an ash body and stunning spalted maple top in a Natural Satin finish, delivering both eye-catching style and a balanced tonal foundation suited for a wide range of playing styles.

A 5-piece maple and jatoba Thin U-shaped bolt-on neck provides excellent stability and a fast, comfortable playing experience across the 34" scale length. The smooth rosewood fretboard features 24 clear fret position markers, helping players hit precise pitches while maintaining the fluid, expressive feel that fretless instruments are loved for. With LTD tuners, a moulded nut, and the LTD BB-604 bridge with string-through design, the B-204SM offers dependable tuning stability and strong sustain.

Equipped with ESP Designed SB-4N and SB-4B pickups paired with an ABQ-3 3-band active EQ, this bass provides flexible tonal shaping for everything from warm, round fundamentals to articulate, modern punch. The intuitive Volume, Balance, and EQ controls make it easy to dial in the perfect sound for studio sessions or live performance. Experience the smooth response and distinctive voice of a fretless bass that stands out visually and sonically with the ESP LTD B-204SM.
