Product Information
This DW Performance Series 12x14 Floor Tom in Charcoal Metallic showcases the innovative HVX shell construction that sets it apart from conventional drum manufacturing. The proprietary grain orientation combines horizontal, vertical and diagonal plies to create a unique tonal foundation that responds beautifully across various playing styles.
Crafted from 8–ply all–maple shells using hand–selected North American Hard Rock Maple, this floor tom produces a distinctive low–mid frequency range with exceptional punch and articulation. The careful selection of timber ensures consistent quality and tonal characteristics that suit a wide variety of musical applications, from studio recording to live performance.
The Performance Series represents an accessible entry point into professional–grade drumming equipment without compromising on essential features. Reduced Quarter Turret lugs provide reliable tuning stability, while the range of specialty wrap, lacquer, and satin finishes gives each drum its own distinctive character and visual appeal.
