Product Information
Beyerdynamic's Limited Black Edition of the DT 770 PRO X wraps the studio reference sound signature in an all-black finish, bringing powerful bass, detailed highs and precise transient response to recording and monitoring applications. The closed-back design isolates 16 dBA of ambient noise, making these headphones well-suited to tracking sessions where bleed control matters. Developed and manufactured in Germany, the DT 770 PRO X Limited Black Edition features the STELLAR.45 dynamic driver with neodymium magnets and a copper-plated precision voice coil, delivering low distortion and accurate transient response even at high sound pressure levels.
Frequency response spans 5–40,000 Hz, with total harmonic distortion below 0.05% at 500 Hz. Sensitivity reaches 98 dB at 1 mW and 112 dB at 1 V, while the 48-ohm nominal impedance ensures compatibility with professional audio interfaces, laptops and mobile devices without requiring a dedicated headphone amplifier. Maximum short-term power handling capacity hits 210 mW. The detachable 3-metre cable uses a locking 3-pin mini-XLR connector at the headphone end, terminating in a gold-plated 3.5 mm jack with a screw-on 6.35 mm adapter included. Velour ear pads and a spring steel headband with replaceable padding keep the 298-gram weight (without cable) comfortable across extended sessions.
Handcrafted in Germany with metal components and user-replaceable parts, the headphones feature a fontanelle recess in the headband padding and 5.5 N nominal headband pressure to reduce fatigue during long tracking or mixing sessions. The closed-back design provides the isolation needed for vocal recording and live monitoring, while the extended frequency response captures detail from sub-bass fundamentals through upper harmonic content. Ships with a drawstring bag for transport and storage between sessions.
