Product Information

Beyerdynamic's limited black edition brings the DT 700 PRO X to Australian studios in a striking all-black finish, combining 20 dB(A) of ambient noise attenuation with the STELLAR.45 dynamic driver for closed-back monitoring that holds up in demanding production environments. The closed circumaural design blocks external sound while delivering a balanced, detailed frequency response from 5–40,000 Hz, giving producers and mix engineers a reliable reference when tracking or evaluating mixes. Sensitivity reaches 114 dB SPL at 1 V, with a 48 ohm nominal impedance that pairs easily with audio interfaces, portable recorders, and headphone amplifiers without requiring extra gain.

Distortion figures stay tight across the frequency range: 0.40% at 100 Hz, 0.05% at 500 Hz, and 0.04% at 1 kHz when measured at 1 mW. Maximum input power is rated at 100 mW for short-term peaks and 30 mW for continuous operation, providing clear headroom limits when matching the headphones to various output stages. Two detachable cables come in the box—a 3 m length for studio use and a 1.8 m cable for mobile setups—each terminating in a locking 3-pin mini-XLR at the headphone end and a gold-plated 3.5 mm jack with 6.35 mm adapter at the source end.

Black velour ear pads and a memory foam headband keep the fit comfortable during extended sessions, with 5.3 N of nominal headband pressure distributing the 350 g weight evenly without cable. The construction supports multi-hour tracking dates or mixing marathons without excessive clamping force, while the soft carry bag protects the headphones between sessions or on the road.
