The OC818 Dual Set Plus delivers a matched pair of Austrian Audio's flagship large–diaphragm condenser microphones, factory–selected to within 1dB sensitivity tolerance for stereo recording applications. Each microphone houses a dual–capsule ceramic CKR12 capsule system derived directly from the legendary AKG C414 design, offering five selectable polar patterns switchable at the microphone body or via USB remote control. The matched pair ships with dual spider–style shock mounts and a purpose–built flight case for transport and storage.

Both microphones feature a dual–output architecture that allows simultaneous recording of two polar patterns to separate channels, captured via dual three–pin XLR outputs. Frequency response spans 20Hz to 20kHz with switchable high–pass filters at 40Hz, 80Hz, and 160Hz, plus three–position pad settings offering 0dB, –10dB, or –20dB attenuation. Maximum SPL reaches 158dB with pad engaged, while self–noise measures just 10dB–A. The ceramic capsule construction resists humidity and temperature variation, maintaining consistent performance across demanding studio and location recording environments.
