Supro has a long and storied history dating back to the 1930's that's full of rock n' roll legends including Jimmy Hendrix, Link Wray and David Bowie. These American made amps have a sound that's just as iconic as the musicians who've used them.

Supro began in 1930's Chicago as a subsidiary of the manufacturer Valco. Valco produced guitars and amplifiers under a number of different names like Airline, National and Supro. However after more than 30 years in business, Valco folded in 1968 dude to financial problems. Since then many manufactures have offered re-issues of different Supro products, but in 2013, Absara Audio purchased the rights to the Supro brand name and in collaboration with lauded amp designer Bruce Zinky, created a range of 1964 re-issue tube amps that debuted in 2014.

These new Absara made Supro amps are designed and manufactured using vintage correct cabinets, specially made tolex finishes, US made speakers, custom transformers and are all hand-assembled in the USA to give you the 100% authentic Supro sound. The dynamic range and clarity, even when over-driven, is all there. These Supro amps have truly unique set of sound characteristics and are a great option if you're after that classic "American" amp sound.
