Product Information

Ableton Move is a standalone instrument designed for intuitive music creation with a portable design and simple workflow. Featuring 32 polyphonic aftertouch pads, a 16-step sequencer, and built-in microphone and speaker, Move offers a seamless way to capture ideas and finish them in Ableton Live. With over 1,500 sounds and instrument presets, it’s easy to dive in and start creating.

Designed for flexibility, Move’s four tracks can be assigned as drum kits, samplers, or instruments, and its battery provides up to four hours of use, making it ideal for quick sampling and music-making on the go. Users can also turn drum hits into melodies using the 16-pitches drum layout for unique pattern creation.

Move’s core library is built from Ableton’s renowned instruments and effects, plus artist collaborations with BNYX, DECAP, L.Dre, Sound Oracle, and more. Eight built-in audio effects, including reverb, delay, and saturator, provide instant sound shaping, while the onboard controls offer tactile feedback for shaping ideas.

With Wi-Fi connectivity, Ableton Cloud, and Move Manager, users can easily transfer sets to Ableton Live and Note. Move also functions as a powerful compact control surface for Ableton Live, making it a versatile tool for any setup.

Move 2.0 is a free firmware update that adds audio tracks to the hardware for the first time. Record via the onboard microphone, 3.5 mm line-in, or USB-C, with integrated warping to decouple pitch from tempo on any captured material. Audio clips from the library can be loaded directly onto audio tracks, and Move's effects chain can be used for live monitoring of incoming signals—turning the unit into an FX processor for stage or studio use alongside internal clip playback. Auto Shift and Erosion from Live are now available as onboard effects. Link Audio streams individual tracks or the main output from Move to Live or Push Standalone over Wi-Fi in real time, with no hardware routing required.
