Mandolins
Born from the family of the Lute, Mandolins are a large bodied guitar that is most commonly played with a pick. With 4, 5 or 6 courses of 2 metal strings, the total amount of strings on a Mandolin ranges from 8-12. The courses are generally tuned in perfect fifths and is a soprano instrument.
While there are many styles of mandolin, there are 3 that are most common - the Neapolitan (Round-backed) Mandolin, the Carved-Top Mandolin and the Flat-Backed Mandolin.
Featured in music styles including Bluegrass, Classical and European Traditional, the Mandolin has a home here at Mannys Music and we are here to help find the perfect instrument to match your requirements. Contact us today or view our entire range below.
