An acoustic-electric guitar (aka electric-acoustic guitar) is a standard acoustic guitar that has been fitted with either a magnetic pickup, a piezoelectric pickup or a mic.

These guitars have been built with components to ensure the quality of their original sound. Acoustic guitars can be fitted with a pick-up after purchasing, however these models are all designed and have matching pick-ups that give you the best results.
