Product Information

Record live performances, film shoots, conferences and other events with the versatile Tascam DR-680 MK2 multi-channel recorder. With six XLR/TRS ports, the DR-680 is easy to connect to in-studio and in-the-field microphones and instruments, and support for digital input and output provides even more functionality. When you're not using the digital connections, tracks seven and eight can function as an additional two-channel mix. Designed by Tascam, this recorder's HDDA preamps ensure excellent transparency and quality, letting you avoid the hassles of external preamps.

The DR-680 records in WAV format, which provides lossless recording and lets you use your preferred compression during editing. Support for BWF lets you easily retrieve when the recording started, further easing the editing process, while support for MP3 encoding lets you record up to four tracks and conserve your storage space. This device records at 24 bits, providing ample dynamic range and letting you adjust volume levels without worrying about distortion. You can also record up to eight tracks at 96 kHz or two tracks at 192 kHz.
